After you have read to page 87, review the stages of the hero's journey both in your folded notes sheet, and your Character X slips. Choose one or two stages that you think Santiago has experienced so far. Create a post on your own blog with the following:
1) The Stage in the Hero's Journey
2) The event or events in Santiago's experience that you think match(es) this stage
3) One fact about this stage that shows how Santiago's experience is similar

Due Tuesday November 19th, beginning of class
1) Revelation
ReplyDelete2) Santiago gets stuck working in a crystal shop for an unexpected amount of time. He eventually joins a caravan that will take him on a difficult journey across the desert.
Santiago understands what he must do to achieve his goal and begins to believe in himself and works twords his success.
3) In the revelation, the initiate changes from his oldself to a new person and make a different path. He decides to work at the crystal shop to go back to Andalusia and buy a bigger flock of sheep because he has given up on his dream of being a shepherd.
I also agree with you Jaymee, i think this is the revalation too.

3) In the Call the initate cences that theres something lacking and he muct find what is missing and Santago having this reacuring dream makes him feel that he is lacking somthing and that he must find what is missing (the treasure in the Egyptain pyramids)
